I wasn’t going to mention that it is Valentine’s Day . . . Honest. But every year I cannot help but come up with something to post about. Last year I went for it with some huge posts and put together 100 Romantic Films but if you are more cynical than that here is a Top 10 of Anti Valentine’s Day Films!
No better way to start off than with this incredibly amazing (and soppy) quote from one of my all time favourite films ever. You cannot help but love When Harry Met Sally!
This one is from a guilty pleasure of mine in Rumor Has It, like honestly no-one else seems to like the film at all. I mean the storyline is a little off the wall but I throughly enjoy it. Come on how heartfelt and real is this love quote!
This is probably the line that people will never expect me to love, but I really just do. I mean come on you all know how much I love and adore Julia Roberts right? Well, this one is just perfect in so many different ways.
Come on The Notebook has some truly incredible quotes, totally romantic and a little crazy. We all fell in love with Ryan Gosling as Noah in this one, no denying it!
I totally fell in love with Silver Linings Playbook when it was released, I certainly have not watched it as many times as I should have. This is an incredible quote after the truly difficult relationship they have been through with each other!
This one is another that manages to mix the soppy romance with a more realistic promise and tone, from Runaway Bride!
I am leaving you with this classic from Dirty Dancing, I mean why not it is the 30th Anniversary for the film this year!
What are your favourite soppy/romantic film quotes?
My favourite is: “I will find you! No matter how long it takes. No matter how far. I will find you!”
You need to guess the movie 😉

I will admit I had to Google it! The Last of the Mohicans, with a quote like that I really should catch up and watch it!

Oooh…it is absolutely wonderful. My favourite movie of all time. As for the soundtrack…just as good.

PS: Watch the “original” release that came out on DVD…the later Blu-Ray Director’s Cut misses some of the magic and even some of the quotes.

I don’t usually say this out loud ( you cannot believe the looks I got the last time), but I have to admit, Rumor has it is a favorite of mine as well. It just cheers me up somehow!
