Wicked Movie: Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo cast!

Good news!

That’s right it has eventually happened we have casting news for the Wicked Movie version that has been talked about for so many years now that I have even lost count. It is one of the most successful and well loved stage musicals of all time, I myself have seen it nine times since first seeing it on Broadway back in 2009. (I even had a truly wonderful birthday cake for my 30th birthday that was Wicked themed). It is a truly fantastic show with so many outstanding songs and along with a good story with some amazing points to it all.

Trailer: Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (2021)

I totally missed that Amazon Prime Video released a new trailer for Everybody’s Talking About Jamie a couple of days ago. Always feels confusing when a film changes the company it is being released through as we have already had a trailer quite a long time ago now.

Anything to build up this film as it really is such a fantastic stage musical but more importantly an incredible story based on a very real life!

Poster: Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (2021)

It feels like we have been waiting forever for this film to be released as the release date has changed so many times due to Covid and the cinemas being closed! I was lucky enough to see this on stage in January 2018, not long into its West End run. It’s a truly lovely and special show and I am very excited to see its film form.

A little bit disappointing that its going straight to streaming rather than given the cinema release it truly deserves. Not long to wait now though with the 17th September as the date we can enjoy it on Amazon Prime Video.

TodayTix – Theatre Tickets

You may (or may not) remember a blog post I put together back in 2017 about West End and Day Seats (read here) when I went to London last week, eventually and to return to the theatre I had actually wondered if Covid would put a stop to this and box offices not opening early to be able to get cheaper last minute tickets direct from the theatre’s box office.

However, I did not have to worry about that. when TodayTix had a few different deals on what they list as Rush Tickets (hello Broadway words coming into the West End). Which is the same thing as day seats, all you need to do is download the app from the App Store and they go on sale at 10am which was always the time the box office opened for the same reason. These are £25 per ticket on the app and the options to buy are for 1 or 2 seats, because I go alone a majority of the time wanting only one single seat works out very nicely that is for sure. But for that price it wouldn’t really matter if you went with someone and didn’t sit together would it?
