Cineworld Secret Screening 8 – Possible Films

Exciting news just announced from Cineworld is that we are getting the 8th Secret Screening very soon. Just incase you somehow have no idea what the Secret Screening set up is, you have no idea what film you are going to be watching before heading into the Cinema. Which creates suspense and gives us a couple of weeks to try to guess which film it could be, as usual I have put together some of my guesses. I am spaced out the films over a month from this date into July as the last secret screening was Love, Simon and it was a pretty advanced screening!

Over the years we have now had many different genres as our Secret Screening and that certainly helps to keep it interesting. Usually though smaller films which need a little bit extra publicity are the previews.

Date: Wednesday 20th June 2018

Let’s hope it isn’t this one as the current reviews from the US release are bad and it would only be a two-day preview.

Now this film does look very good, the trailer has been shown for quite a while now but again this film is due for release on the 22nd June so it would not be much of a preview. As much as I want to see it, I would happily wait the extra two days and have a more advanced preview.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado
Personally I would hope that it isn’t this one as I have not seen the first Sicario film I have tried a couple of times but failed to get into it.

The First Purge
Again a sequel wouldn’t be ideal or prequel in this case? I am a huge fan of the Purge series as think the concept is interesting. But the issue with this would be that people might not have seen the other three films and that could cause some issues.

Assassins and a double life with Margot Robbie in the leading role, I am sure this would please at least all of the men who will be in attendance. I am not her biggest fan at all, but this wouldn’t be one of the worst choices.

Mary Shelley
We haven’t had a period drama as an Unlimited Secret Screening yet . . . I am not sure it would be the best idea in the world to be brutally honest. But I have included it in the list as it is a possible option due to release dates.

Not even going to lie that this would be my top choice for the screening, I love Dwayne Johnson films because you can just switch off and this one looks all kinds of ridiculous, plus it would be a good couple of weeks for the preview.

First Reformed

First heard things about this film over the weekend with Ethan Hawke being on Graham Norton and it sounds like he puts in a great performance. It has had some fantastic reviews so far being part of film festivals, so it would be an amazing choice for the secret screening in all honesty.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again
I know it will not be this film at all. But just imagine how many people would walk out of the screening if it was!

Escape Plan 2: Hades
I was thinking this film wouldn’t get a huge release as come on Arnie hasn’t made it to the sequel from the first Escape Plan film which was the ultimate guilty pleasure film! A long shot but I doubt this would do very well at the box office so might need the extra push.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout
I have included this as it is just over a month after the screening date, I imagine the franchise is too big though for the screening. But would be a decent preview if it was, but Tom Cruise seems to sell himself still.

What film do you think it will be?

What film would you just love it to be?

    • For screening 7 it was the first time the film was in my guesses. So hopefully I’ve guessed right with one of these.

It’s so handy having an Unlimited Card!

  1. I’m hoping it’s either Incredibles 2 (unlikely) or Tag, as they’re both out in America already. Part of me thinks it’ll be Uncle Drew, though I really hope not. The dream is Ant-Man and the Wasp. Hotel Artemis would be good too.
