I have managed to keep up a good record coming close to January and February but that could also be due to the fact that in March we usually have a slowing down of films, or at least films that I have really wanted to see.
Cineworld Unlimited Pass is £17.40 per month and I saw 8 films this month costing me £2.17 per film.
I managed to see the following films this month:
3rd – Viceroy’s House – Review
12th – Kong: Skull Island – Review
15th – Free Fire – Review
21st – Beauty and the Beast – Review
25th – Get Out – Review
26th – La La Land (Sing-A-Long Version)
27th – Life – Review
29th – Power Rangers – Review
Film of the Month
I don’t even care if you are judging me with this pick, I was totally taken back to my childhood and excitement of the Power Rangers. Other than that though it is a very good origin story and sets up a new franchise very nicely. At least I will be looking forward to some superhero films in the future! Two amazing throwbacks to the 90s TV series and that really was something else, happiest I have been in the cinema for a while to be totally honest.
Male Performance of the Month
Daniel Kaluuya was outstanding in the leading role in Get Out. A tricky role really considering the theme of race that is in the film. I hadn’t seen him in anything before so it was a nice pleasant surprise to watch him lead this film.
Female Performance of the Month
Rebecca Ferguson was the one holding it all together in Life, I really was impressed with her level of performance. Especially considering the other actors in the film, she was certainly the standout performer for me!
What did you see in March? What was your favourite film and performances?
Great Selection, We just had a brand new Odeon in my town so i finally went Limitless there and i saw Logan, Beauty.., Life, Kong, Ghost Shell and Get Out (6 people including myself in the screening it was heaven). Power Ranger or Free Fire would be next i think for me

Great news about the new Odeon and being able to go Limitless! It’s fantastic having a monthly pass and being able to see anything and everything you want without worrying about the cost 🙂

Great list! I saw “Get Out” in February but you are right about the performance: terrific! Also saw “Trainspotting 2” – as a HUGE fan of the original, I enjoyed it a lot, but it was a somewhat nostalgic look back at the cast that was tinged with a bit of melancholy…

Yeah I skipped Trainspotting 2 as was never a huge fan of the first one, but it was years and years ago when I watched it maybe I was too young to fully understand it at the time.

No need to see “T2” then – the first one was kind of “of its time” and the sequel unintentionally reinforced that!

If I saw Logan a day later it would have been my film of the month for March!

It actually made me realise it doesn’t really have that many songs. Was only 9 people in the screening and 2 left after like 15 mins. Couldn’t hear anyone singing!
