Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024) Review

Many years after the reign of Caesar we following a young ape named Noa as he goes on a journey that will make him question everything he has been taught about the past and what he knows about the Echo aka humans.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The clan that Noa is part of includes being able to bond and control Eagles and have them work together, he was under a lot of pressure with his father being master of the birds. Everything within his world is about to change though and he must stand and fight for his people.

Nova (later we find out is Mae) is what Noa knows as a Echo but on meeting Raka who has continued the actual message and work of Caesar in the true manner and not using the name to influence and change things. This will make Noa wonder what has been true and learning about humans and that apes were infact the ones that could not speak to begin with.

The story moves at a decent enough pace and has plenty of twists and turns along the way, and this new story is set around 300 years after the reign of Caesar and that certainly gives plenty of scope for more stories and explanations on how certain events have occured. This allows us to see how evolution takes place and the food chain as such with different clans and species wanting to be more dominant over the others.

I mean a massive positive for this and continuing on from the previous trilogy is that I really don’t know how many more times I can get so emotionally attached to CGI apes, like seriously how is it possible to get that into it? I guess it is a compliment to the writers and production team for being able to suck the audience in to it all!

Owen Teague taking on the role of Noa does a great job with his work on it and then Freya Allan probably has the toughest job with the rest all going to CGI other than the appearance of William H. Macy of course.
