Top 10 – Theatre Shows in 2017

I had such an incredible year at the theatre (2017 at the theatre) that putting together this top 10 list of shows that I managed to see has been very tough! I was lucky enough to see many UK touring shows, West End and this year Broadway as well. All of which are fantastic experiences and I actually managed to see a lot of new shows to myself and some favourites all over again, the thing with Theatre is that with musicals and plays the productions can be slightly changed which gives you a brand new way to watch it!

A reminder of my year at the theatre, check out all of the shows I managed to see on stage during 2017!

2017 at the Theatre

This is my overview of 2017 at the Theatre which has been a very special year with plenty of trips to London and even a trip to New York and squeezing in some Broadway shows. All to go along with the trips to Newcastle’s Theatre Royal and the Sunderland Empire to catch the latest UK touring shows.

In 2016 I managed to see 31 shows. In 2017 I managed to see 36 shows! So just beating the 2016 total! You can see a list of all of these shows here. This also included trying to get plenty of deals and really using the day seats to help save money.

Here are the pantos that are running in the North East from now until January, dates vary for each show but well worth heading to the Theatre for some fun! Click on the posters for more information and to book tickets!

If any Theatre would like to send me tickets to come and review the show that would be fantastic 😉

Had to start with my closest at The Customs House in South Shields!

Stage Door – Adrian Zmed

Another incredible meet after seeing La Cage Aux Folles was Adrian Zmed who was just brilliant from start to finish in the show. He had quite a big crowd of people waiting at the stage door for him and was absolutely fantastic signing and taking photos.

He did also mention that the show is trying to find a Theatre in the West End so watch out for that!

Stage Door – John Partridge

After seeing the amazing La Cage Aux Folles we had to pop round to the stage door to show our appreciation for an incredible show and amazing performance from John Partridge. What a lovely man, who took the time to sign autographs and take selfies/photos with anyone who asked him.

Might still be best known for his role in Eastenders as Christian, I would really recommend catching him on stage if you have the chance! Very impressed with his acting and vocal range!

img_2631_zpswsxqthw9I really was blown away by his performance and so pleased I got the chance to meet him, as I saw him in Chicago last year and didn’t get the chance to head to the stage door.
