“There’s nothing more irresistible to a man than a woman who is in love with him.”

Here we go again.

I mean that in two different ways. The first being a second blog post more about life and love but using the films I love. Tonight’s post comes with a rather heartbreaking quote from The Sound of Music. Well I find it that way, considering it is the Baroness who says it to Maria about the Captain. You know the man she is actually engaged to! But the more you think about that quote the more you realise that it is true, if he knows how you feel then it seems to work against you. If he isn’t sure then he’s all for you. Seriously men you really are the complicated ones!

Oscars 2015 – Best Supporting Actor

This is another category that I have seen all of the films for, I think it makes these blog posts a lot easier (won’t always be the case as I am missing some, but you will have to wait and see which ones …). Now the selections for these seemed pretty straight forward, but I guess one was quite a surprise with Robert Duvall getting a nomination for The Judge. This is nearly always the best category as always has very strong performances!

Some are probably a little bit of a shock but we must remember that a slight bias towards British actors and actresses is often shown with the BAFTAs not a bad thing in my opinion. Just showing that they appreciate our own talent. So far I have seen nearly all of the films, just a couple to catch up with. They come out over the next couple of weeks as well!

The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) Review

To tell the story of Gustave H, this film has a double flashback in order to do this which sets it up to be a rather complicated and random film. Along with Gustave it is about Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. As we find out the story to how he came to own The Grand Budapest Hotel …
