A couple of nights ago now I turned my TV on and The Flintstones was on with John Goodman as Fred, this was a film I can remember a little from my childhood and when it was first released. It them made me think about other actors that I see from these “kids” films and at the time had no idea that some of these were Oscar nominees or winners and even catching up with their older films I cannot help but remember them from the films that I watched during my younger days!
This is a blog post I have thought about putting together in the past and I have tried to come up with as many actors as possible who I have typecast in what were more family/child aimed films. Feel free to have a think about which actors you still see in this way as well! It is always quite interesting to think about which films you associate with an actor and it is usually the first one you see them in.
I went to see a lot of Theatre in 2017 so decided that as well as my Top 10 Theatre Shows I would also for the first time ever list my favourite performances from the year. This created some very tough decisions as the level of Theatre in 2017 was very high and managing to pick just ten performances out of the amazing shows I had the pleasure of watching has proven to be very tough!
I had such an incredible year at the theatre (2017 at the theatre) that putting together this top 10 list of shows that I managed to see has been very tough! I was lucky enough to see many UK touring shows, West End and this year Broadway as well. All of which are fantastic experiences and I actually managed to see a lot of new shows to myself and some favourites all over again, the thing with Theatre is that with musicals and plays the productions can be slightly changed which gives you a brand new way to watch it!
A reminder of my year at the theatre, check out all of the shows I managed to see on stage during 2017!
This is my overview of 2017 at the Theatre which has been a very special year with plenty of trips to London and even a trip to New York and squeezing in some Broadway shows. All to go along with the trips to Newcastle’s Theatre Royal and the Sunderland Empire to catch the latest UK touring shows.
In 2016 I managed to see 31 shows. In 2017 I managed to see 36 shows! So just beating the 2016 total! You can see a list of all of these shows here. This also included trying to get plenty of deals and really using the day seats to help save money.
I promise that this is my very last post about my New York trip (honestly) it might just stem some film related posts though, but don’t worry I still have a few film/tv related photos to share. Some of them are from knowledge gained on the On Location Central Park and/or Bus Tour.

After seeing War Paint on Thursday evening the CD was due to be launched the following day with it going on sale at 9am at Barnes & Noble.
