A rather big shock came from last nights Golden Globe awards with Bohemian Rhapsody taking the Best Picture award in Drama. Not something I was expecting at all, I have to say I am happy with the other winners!

Unfortunately it isn’t broadcast in the UK anymore, so just had to catch up with the winners this morning.

There was a report over the weekend that Globe members really loved “Bohemian Rhapsody”, and we saw that play out….Glenn Close is in a film that almost no one saw, but will be coming out indemand and blu-ray at the end of January, so the opportunity will be there for Academy voters to see it before voting…she could upset the “Star Is Born” momentum, but “Bohemian” is only a Globe winner, nothing more….they are less of an Oscar predictor these days – look to the Screen Actors Guild and Producers Guild winners as a better indicator…that said, “Green Book” could also upset for Best Picture as it is also very well liked!

I really enjoyed Green Book, had a lovely secret screening preview of that one!
I am even happier that I have seen The Wife if hardly anyone has seen that film, had to go to my closest independent film for that!

It will be released at the end of the month so people will have the chance to see it before Oscars – but I am a Producers Guild member and they never sent it to us!

Oh wow! That’s crazy considering how much buzz was going around about Close, which is why I went to see it!

I know I may be a bit off on this but when it would come to same category.. anyone thinks Rami Malek can beat Christian Bale??
