Residents of a small Southern town are about to think everything will change when a stranger arrives wanting to help save the place but with a controversial plan.
I want to start by saying that this film really does have a pretty impressive cast in all honesty, but they are not used to full ability and that is certainly let down my the very boring story. We don’t really care enough about the characters and what is happening with them all, it drags for such a short film to be brutally honest. Shall I also say that Orlando Bloom and Colin Firth in one film is something I have wanted to see for a while now, eventually renting this one on Amazon Prime Video as it was the cheapest way to view it.
I guess you can say that I am not really sure why I did anymore. Sometimes we should actually pay attention to ratings shouldn’t we?
We are supposed to believe that the relationships between the people in the neighbourhood are what hold it together, however that is not the case. As none of them really create a good or nice representation of people. I guess that sounds a little bit strange really but I mean that as when watching a film we want to be able to watch different types of people.
I feel the need to admit something that when watching this film I actually fell asleep a couple of times and had to keep rewinding it back to the last part I could remember. Baring in mind this was on a Sunday afternoon and not late at night. I guess that helps to show how difficult I found this film to watch and engage with.
If anyone else has somehow watched this one I would be keen to find out how you felt about it? Very bland, boring and uninspiring is how I want to leave off with it. Also just no to Colin Firth’s American accent, it was not good at all!
