Well considering everyone has been going pretty crazy over this trailer for the up and coming Ghostbusters reboot I thought I would join in!
I actually think the trailer makes it look much better than I expected, I love the original Ghostbusters and really looking forward to seeing which direction they head in with this film. I have been a bit of a fan of Kristen Wiig since Bridesmaids and followed her other films quite closely since then, so I think she is a good choice for this film. Along with Melissa McCarthy who massively surprised me with Spy last year!

This trailer personally didn’t do anything for me. I was interested in this reboot after seeing the cast and director involved but this trailer didn’t make me excited for the movie, for me not one joke worked. Hopefully the movie will be much better than the trailer made it look.

I think the actual film will be better than the trailer but it does look better than I expected.

Watching the trailer, I was totally jazzed about this movie, but with a few hesitations that I couldn’t quite put my finger on until I started watching other people’s commentary on the trailer. I’ve come to agree that the trailer is confusing as to wether this is a sequel or a reboot, Leslie Jones’ character is stereotyped as the loud, black woman, and the trailer gets lost in its own narrative.
Aside from that, I’m still quite excited about the film! I really want it to be amazing, and I think it’ll be pretty darn close!

I’m glad you’re down for it, I’ve never like the concept of this reboot, not because of he female cast, I just thought it would have been better served as a sequel in the same universe and with different actresses. And this trailer pretty much confirmed why I don’t want to see this film, besides a few moments that made me smile, nothing made me laugh, and a lot of the jokes whether they were visual or verbal were just generic, silly and had no wow factor. I hate to be so pessimistic, but all I saw were one-note character spitting out jokes that were neither funny or unique. Hopefully future trailers can change my mind but for now this film doesn’t exist.

Oh I can totally understand where your coming from and how you feel about it. I will be skeptical but trying to keep an open mind and look forward to seeing the direction they end up going with it.
