Cameron Diaz is Elizabeth Halsey a middle school teacher, who thought her life was set until her rich fiance dumped her. Cutting her off from his incredible wealth, she then sets out to get money together for a breast enlargement in order to find another rich man.
If that description of what the film is about hasn’t already put you off this film, well maybe you should give it ago? I have to admit that I did not like this film, but it still did have a few laugh out loud moments. The main one for myself and my friend had to be the ‘dry humping’ scene. You will understand what I mean if you decide to see this film.
Usually in a film like this we end up sympathizing with the lead character and expect them to have a total character change as the film goes on. However, this does not really happen in this film. We see Elizabeth get away with everything bad she does, all for her own gain really.
Justin Timberlake is a geeky teacher who cannot sing or dance. Let’s face it fair play to Justin for completely being able to laugh at himself and bring some laughs in that way. I felt that Jason Segel should have been used so much more in this film, I have enjoyed quite a lot of his other films.
While this film could have went in the direction to show how someone can really change, it just more touched around the edges of it and didn’t completely go into much depth. We did see a little reform at the end, but it was all a little bit random in the end. I wouldn’t really rush out and see this one . . .
