Top 10 – Movie Quotes I’d love a man to say to me!

Ok so I have slightly caved and decided to admit for at least this blog post that I am a romantic at heart . . . by making a list of love movie quotes that I would love a man to say to me! But I had decided not to place them in a 1-10 order, as they are all in the list for the same reason of thinking that it would be just lovely for a man to say them to me. Yes some are very cheesy! But I guess I do have to conform at some point for some Valentine’s Day slushiness!!!

“You complete me” (Jerry Maguire, 1996)

Who wouldn’t want a man to inform them that you complete them . . . not something that they are going to tell you ever day. As corny as this is, I still love it!

“I know who you are. I love you. I love everything about you that hurts.” (Closer, 2004)

The passion and desire which can be felt from this quote, really would just make you melt. Especially if Clive Owen was the man saying it to you!

“Take love, multiply it by infinity and take it to the depths of forever . . . and you still only have a glimpse of how I feel for you.” (Meet Joe Black, 1998)

Doesn’t get anymore in depth than this! Total intense love! Although it might be slightly on the creepy side . . .

“Tell you what. The Truth is . . . sometimes I miss you so much, I can hardly stand it.” (Brokeback Mountain, 2005)

Now this one is something you can imagine a woman saying to a man more, so if a man actually said this I am pretty sure he would have me forever.

“I have no armour left. You’ve stripped it from me. Whatever is left of me . . . whatever is left of me . . . whatever I am . . . I’m yours.” (Casino Royale 2006)

This is a big one, it would mean he has let you in and you know him inside out!

“I wanna talk about how bad you make this room look. I never knew what a dump it was until you came in here.” (Crazy Heart, 2009)

This has to be one of those moments that would just totally make you blush as such a massive compliment!

“You make me want to be a better man.” (As Good As It Gets, 1997)

He’s not happy with himself and wants to better himself all for you. That is something every woman wants to hear, whether he can actually be a better man is another issue.

“I’d rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you.” (Pocahontas, 1995)

Another very intense quote! He means business saying this one!

“This kind of certainty comes but once in a lifetime.” (The Bridges of Madison County, 1995)

Saying your the only one he will ever really love and want to be with. Again so intense!

“So its not gonna be easy. Its gonna be really hard. We’re gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you, I want all of you, forever, you and me, everyday.” (The Notebook, 2004)

This is filled with quotes I could have used here Noah was just perfect. That kind of love doesn’t happen very often, but you do have to work at it.

  1. Oooh, good ones, Caz! Sadly that quote from Jerry Maguire has become kind of a cliche even though it is indeed a great, simple line that packs a punch. I cried when I first heard it, it’s one of Tom Cruise’s best movies.

And props for including the one from Casino Royale. I just watched it recently and I absolutely adore that movie. That movie would’ve come out so syrupy from someone else but it was perfect coming out of Daniel Craig’s Bond.

I also enjoyed As Good As It Gets more than I thought I would. The unlikely romance between Jack and Helen Hunt was definitely touching.

    • I became a massive Daniel fan after Casino Royale and thought that line was just incredible. So easy to relate to as well, but a man saying that to me would just totally floor me!

I couldn’t resist having a Jack character’s quote in the list!

  2. I love this post. These were such romantic movie quotes and I would love for a man to say any of them to me. Especially, the the Jack Nicholson line.

I keep forgetting about Meet Joe Black. I need to go back and watch it again.
